How to get started

Come as You Are

The first thing to know before you start yoga with us is to know that you do not need to be bendy, strong or physically fit to begin.  In fact, if you are none of those things, you probably have more to gain by joining us!  All are welcome at our studio.  We just ask you to repect some of our studio etiquette and to come prepared for class.


What you should do to prepare

  • Come hydrated and on an empty stomach.  Refrain from eating up to 2 hours before attending class if possible.
  • We recommend you bring your own yoga mat, otherwise you can hire one from us.  Also please bring a small hand towel.
  • Refrain from wearing any strong perfumes for the class.
  • Please make sure your mobile phone is silent before entering the studio.
  • Please refrain from drinking water during class if possible.
  • Make sure to let the instructor know if you have any health conditions or injuries that may affect your practice. 

Special Considerations


If you would like some extra attention and guidance, particularly if you are working with a medical condition or injury, we recommend scheduling a private session before you begin.

Private sessions are a great way to get you started on the right track, and we can guide you towards the best classes to start with and any specific practices you may do outside of class that are tailored to your needs.

Class Descriptions

Ashtanga Mysore

Our signature class, the Ashtanga Yoga method is a dynamic moving meditation.  In this class you learn key foundations of Sun Salutations, Standing Poses, Seated Poses and more while moving with your breath.  This class is unique in that you are taught individually by our highly experienced teachers at your level.  In this way, what you learn from us becomes a practice you can take with you wherever you go.  We recommend attending this class at least 2-3 times per week as regular and consistent practice is key to benefit from this class the most.

Ashtanga Foundations

Our Ashtanga Foundations class is a great introduction to our Ashtanga yoga classes, offering informative, alignment based instructions, perfect for the beginner or more seasoned practitioner.  We focus on Sun Salutations, Standing and Balancing Poses,foundational seated poses and a gentle approach to backbends.  


Our Yin classes are the perfect chill for you.  The class guides you through a sequence of stretches that are held for 3-5 minutes, allowing your body to release deeply held tension.  Myfascial meridians are gently lengthened and stimulated which can make lasting improvements on your flexibility and movement patterns.

Slow Flow

Our slow flow yoga class is our most popular each week and it’s the perfect way to coax your body into opening and activating.  This class is breath focused and is structured around a gentle warm up, foundational standing poses, hip openers, spine strengthening and light core work with a very gentle cool down and relaxation.  Perfect place for beginners to start!


Kundalini yoga is a form of yoga that involves chanting, breathing exercises, and repetitive poses to assist in waking up the energy that moves along the spine.  This is an all levels class.
